Used Kubota L2650 vs L3010

I'm looking to purchase a used tractor w/ loader. I have looked at a 1994? L2650 GST with 1163 hours and ind tires and a 2000 L3010 with 150 hours with ag tires.I would like to know the pros and cons and differences in these two tractors. The L2650 looks more sturdy but it could just be the bigger ind tires. But the L3010 is newer. Any information would be appreciated. Both are around the same price.

You didn't state what your uses might be or the transmission with the 3010. The GST is a nice transmission but the early ones did have a larger hesitation when shifting when cold. The tires size could be a plus or a negative and it does depend on what you might be using the tractor for as to which would be the best for you. ....

Both used tractors sold. After looking at secveral places yesterday I decided to purchase a new tractor. The prices for used are about the same as new or not that much less. I am looking at a L3400 DT or HST (not sure which to get.) I will be using the tractor with loader mostly in the woods for firewood. Will be using a dump trailer too. Probably will get a mower later on. Have 90 acres mostly wooded. Any thoughts on the DT versus the HST?? ....

Hydro's are easy to operate with little training for many today and they hold up better then clutches do. The trade off is a little more money when new. Often people talk of the lower PTO horsepower but because of the way it works it actually will out perform a gear drive tractor on PTO work! The 3400 does offer a two stage clutch for the pto engagement on a gear drive or with the hydro you don't need to worry about it. ....
